Research Centers and Groups

The Facultad Regional Cordoba maintains the development of scientific and technological activities within the Faculty, as a mechanism for improving academic quality in various areas of knowledge and to contribute to institutional strengthening and the entrenchment of the relationship between faculty and the community. The various groups working in the Faculty, as well as projects currently under development are described below:

CUDAR  University center of Automation and re-engineering.

The University Center of Robotics and Automation was established with the aim of offer to companies and other educational institutions the benefits and specific applications of the development of industrial automation, through practices and design of industrial robots and high-performance training. Also propitiates feasibility studies for the robots application in manufacturing systems, programming and development of CNC machine tools, and manufacture of parts requiring turning and CNC milling. The quality of its human resources and equipment, has allowed that CUDAR be the most outstanding player in forums and in national and international exhibitions related to automation and robotics.

CIII Research center of Computer science for engineering.

The Center aims to research, development and transfer of computer applications for engineering support. Promotes and coordinates research in the field of Robotics, the Digital Signal Processing, Control Technology, in order to obtain technological developments for applications in the industry. Offers the following skills: control systems (design and advice); numerical control machines (design and advice); computer-aided Design; industrial quality management (advice); finite element modeling of parts and pieces.

CINTRA  Acoustic investigation and transfer center.

CINTRA is a qualified center that aims to carry out interdisciplinary research and provide transfer in the form of human resource training and technical services to the community in the different branches of acoustics. Work experience of more than three decades in the field, and the history of scientific and technical staff consisting mainly of technicians and researchers of the CONICET and faculty researchers from UTN support and guarantee the quality of its services. The lines of interdisciplinary research currently under development, subsidized by CONICET, ACC, SeCyT of UNC, ANPCyT and the government of Germany, generate the scientific and technical human resources in the interdisciplinary research in CINTRA.

CITeQ  Chemical investigation and technological center.

Since 1995 CITeQ seeks to generate scientific knowledge, promote and coordinate research in the field of Catalysis, Fine Chemical, Petrochemical and Chemistry of Materials; disseminate the results, transfer and advising companies and institutions that require it and training human resources: scientific, technological and support staff.

               CEMETRO  Dimensional Metrology Center.

The Center provides services to companies in the metrological environment, develop human resources at all levels and making developments of measurement techniques to measure business. Among the technological products may include: special measures at the request of industry, traceable measurement systems and low cost manufacturing processes, measurement techniques at the request companies. This is possible by joining a team of high capacity, a set of key performance teams and a recognized institution in the middle.

GISASS  Accidentology Research Group and Road Safety.

Accidentology Research Group and Road Safety, to collaborate with the community and to try to safeguard human lives by raising awareness of education and road safety, and develop different safety features to lower the high rate of accidents occur in our country.
The group according to the reference set, is currently developing a rear under run bumper weighty vehicles, which is in the final stage of its development.

             AGV  Autonomous Mobile Robot.

The autonomous mobile robot system + robotic arm is the product of a development process begun in 1995 with was called Phase I of a larger project GIII Group (Group for Research in Computer Engineering), from the need to have a reliable mobile platform, versatile and easy to use for research in the field of intelligent navigation of robots in different environments and conditions.
In 2000, completed the first and second phase of the project, had a chassis designed and built by the mechanical staff of the Group. The chassis was equipped with motors for traction and direction of the vehicle, and drivers (electronic circuitry needed to control the movement of the engine) very simple and capable of improvement and innovation.
That is why in that same year began with the development and construction of new electronic controls for engines that would allow management includes a more flexible positioning system, with permanent control of the scrolling speed, starting and braking. It was also designed them so that their operating parameters can be reconfigured from more senior drivers (such as maximum speed, its acceleration as both starting and braking). All this allow for adapting the operation of the vehicle to maneuver the different situations that might arise.

CEcap  Research Group on Power Quality.

The GEcap performs research and development projects, basic and applied, in the area of electrical systems, and processes involving these, using internationally recognized scientific methods, training human resources in the area of undergraduate and graduate and transferring knowledge the environment. Among the research are: Modeling and Simulation of Potential situation, Quality Control of Energy, Control and Operation of Central Studies Network Expansion, Control and Operation of Radial Distribution Network, Instrumentation and Measurement, Systems Protection, Control and Compensation Active/Reactive, Stability Studies, Systems Generation, Transmission and Distribution and Certification of Electrical System Operators.

                GIC  Clinical Engineering Group.

Clinical Engineering Group develops its activities since 1985 in the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Facultad Regional Córdoba. Throughout these years, has formed a critical mass of researchers in different fields of work (digital signal processing, and Medical Equipment, Rehabilitation Engineering).

The commitment of the research society is one of the premises of the group, which is manifested in the pattern of most of their developments. Through various agreements, the Group has transferred technology to various media, such as the Hospital de Clínicas, Córdoba Hospital and Rehabilitation of Disabled Institute - Córdoba.

GInTeMaC  Construction material technology y quality investigation group.

This group carries out research-oriented to building materials, quality management, human resource training and technical services to the community. These activities are reflected in the presentations and participating in scientific events since 1985, which has allowed the transfer of the investigation. The work has allowed the continued consistent presentation of the production and transfer of knowledge in the chairs of the Faculty and other national and international scientific fields.
